After a varied career in law and several other unrelated sectors, Thereza made a (happily) accidental move into technology some 17 years ago – long enough to have participated to some extent in the evolution which legal technology has undergone over the past two decades.
An “adventurous conservative” who (usually) shuns the bleeding edge, Thereza looks ahead to a period of exciting and creative change over the next several years. So many advances in technology that we have been talking about and tinkering with for years are now finally reaching maturity. At the same time, law firm partners are generally starting to regard technology as a strategic asset rather than a necessary evil. In conjunction, these factors favour a step change, both in pace and in degree, for change to the role of IT in the law firm.
