Sayid Hussein is Walker’s Head of Global Systems Management. Operating from Walkers’ Cayman Islands office, Sayid has ultimate responsibility for the management of Walkers’ international IT network, which serves a staff of over 800 in ten offices on four continents. In 2017 Sayid was awarded the 2017 British Legal Technology Awards ‘IT Leadership’ accolade.
With over seventeen years of IT experience in the legal sector, Sayid’s specialisms encompass a wide variety of strategic technology issues including: innovation, security, governance and policy, development, resource allocation, information technology protocols and M&A growth initiatives. He is also Change Management, 6-Sigma, PRINCE2 and ITIL trained, with expertise in applying best practice frameworks to suit business needs.
Prior to joining Walkers, Sayid was previously the Director of IT for Dentons UK&ME region, the world’s largest law firm. During Sayid’s tenure he led the region to successful transition to ISO 27001 2013, achieved Cyber Essentials Plus certification, collaborated with senior lawyers on panel bids and was instrumental in the development of client-focused applications to facilitate business matters.
